| Camporosso (IM): a part of the hydraulic system of the old mill | | | | | |
I come from, from Bordighera on the border, including the hinterland, that is to say in this area, called Intemelia in honor of an ancient Ligurian tribe, the history is not passed some light, perhaps for the long political and administrative limit function, which dates back to Roman times for sure. Many authors have mentioned, many people today write about it on the spot, with affection and responsibility by relying on different media. And even the visual arts, literature and poetry have found fertile inspiration here, especially the landscape. More and more I'm passionate about the subject and I think it's more interesting sometimes make at least some mention, even in the knowledge that there is no doubt something similar in many other geographical situations of our beautiful country, apparently neglected by the Annals of Department.

A great event, fairly well known, was the elite tourism, English 800 that introduced the two Riviere (including Nice) a little 'everywhere, as well as creating on-site factors intense cultural life: suffice it to note that the discovery and exploitation of the first prehistoric evidence of the Valley of Wonders was made by a son of Albion, che aveva base all'epoca a Bordighera, e, tra gli artisti che allora da noi trovarono ispirazione o, comunque, lasciarono decisi segni, almeno Claude Monet e Charles Garnier.

| Ventimiglia, la medievale Porta Canarda |
Rivado, invero, con il pensiero allo stupore giovanile di quando rinvenivo nei libri di testo, in anticipo sulle lezioni, tracce locali in grandi autori, da Tacito che in "Vita di Agricola" attesta in territorio ventimigliese la morte della madre del condottiero ad opera degli scherani di Otone, a Dante con il suo ricorso al paragone della costa scoscesa tra Lerici and Turbo (now La Turbie before my eyes over here every day if you only look up), in Foscolo in the 'Ortis "completes a true description, even romantic Val Roja.

| Sanremo many many years ago |
But even appeal to me, with a little shameless audacity, other events and other situations, I know less well, located in the rest of the province of Imperia . And I start to make an informal homage to Italo Calvino, also a singer who was Sanremo, for several days in constant conversations and reading I am reminded of live testimony, concerning him, listen to long ago by his comrades in arms of the Resistance.
