Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour (250 ml cups)
- 1 tablespoon baking
- 30 grams of butter into small pieces
- 150 grams of sugar
- 200 grams of dates into strips
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 150 ml of milk
Sift flour with baking powder in a bowl and add the butter, knead with fingers to mix with the flour. Add the sugar, dates, milk and eggs, all work with a fork and continue kneading by hand until dough is very soft. Roll out the dough between two sheets of floured waxed paper, until a dough a couple of inches high, cut circles (I used a cup) and lay them on baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Brush them with milk and bake at the top of a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 15 min.
